Reputedly the largest thatched manor house in the country, Alford Manor House is a Grade II Listed building built in 1611 to a traditional H plan and restored during 2004-2006.
The Manor House, Gardens, and Tea Rooms are open to the public along with the adjacent Museum of Rural Life, home to many of Alford’s historic artefacts. The Manor House also hosts various exhibitions and maintains a busy programme of events each year. The venue is also available to hire for weddings, funeral teas, meetings, and private functions.
