The Values of Healing Manor Hotel

When it comes to using local seasonal produce, the team at Healing Manor Hotel are paving the way. We caught up with director Charlotte Bennett to hear more about her vision for the future, and the values which are making Healing Manor a top foodie destination!

“Our key values and ethos about our food and drink are that we get everything as locally as possible. And that means that we grow what we can, from our vegetables to the edible flowers that enhance our plates. Seasonality of our dishes is key - we don’t want to be importing our berries or tomatoes from Spain - so you will see our menus changing every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on what we can get our hands on. We are all about celebrating place and location and, since we are just 4 miles from Grimsby, it is vitally important to celebrate our fishing heritage and include as much fresh seafood as possible in our menus.

Dining out is an experience and a chance to make memories. When I go out, I love to try things I wouldn’t have the confidence to cook at home, and this is where our Tasting Menu Experience comes in. For just £80pp, diners can experience a showcase of fresh, local, seasonal Lincolnshire produce that puts our country on the map as a foodie destination.

A huge string to our bow is Steven Bennett, The Lincolnshire Chef, head chef at Healing Manor. Super-talented and multi-award-winning Steve is everything to us, transforming our vision and values onto the plate and more. By that we mean that Steve has his own website with recipes you can cook yourself, meaning our values are accessible and you can continue your Healing Manor experience back at home.

The Healing Manor team is proud to work closely with a select group of local suppliers, and we host a ‘Meet the Supplier’ blog series on our website so you can really drill down on the key ingredients of the dishes and order more of what you love direct to your door. These stories showcase the best foods Lincolnshire has to offer, as well as introducing the amazing, hard-working personalities behind the success stories. For us, shining the spotlight on the suppliers adds value to our menus and dining experiences in this cost-of-living crisis where value for money is key.

We are truly passionate about Lincolnshire and encourage our customers to lengthen their stay so they can enjoy more of what our beautiful county has to offer. We want to direct our guests out of our venue for their 2nd, 3rd & 4th evening meals, furthering their Lincolnshire experience, and making memories as well as boosting the local economy. We know that the best experiences will spread by word of mouth to ensure more visitors come back again and again.”
