Address: Massingberd Mundy Gin, South Ormsby Estate, South Ormsby, LN11 8QS
Located on the picturesque estate of South Ormsby, you'll find the Massingberd-Mundy distillery, named after Sir Drayner Massingberd, who brought the estate, with a history dating back to the 14th century, in 1638. The distillery itself, however, was established in 2019 and focuses on producing small-batched artisan gins.
Each bottle is lovingly handcrafted by the manager and master distiller Tristan Jørgensen. Drawing inspiration from the estate's local Lincolnshire history, their main flagships Marie Jeanne and Burrell's, are named after individuals with strong ties to the South Ormsby Estate. And every bottle label has their portrait, a replica of the art that hangs in the South Ormsby Hall, carefully printed on.
Located on a 3,000-acre estate that grows botanicals and fruits, they utilise this fresh Lincolnshire produce to create natural flavours within their spirits. And the master distiller has previously used chips from a 200-year-old tree that fell naturally on the estate to create a limited-edition oak-aged gin.
Massingberd Mundy is an award-winning distillery. And at the 2021 World Gin Awards, they won gold with their Marie Jeanne Pink Gin. Along with many other accolades over the years. A testament to their unforgettable refreshing, modern, and elegant taste.
As a distillery, they focus on having a small carbon footprint and endeavour to have minimal waste, recycling as much as possible, and consciously choosing to use eco-friendly packaging.
A personal touch to be admired, 100% of their gin is distilled, bottled, and packaged on-site. With the offer of free-of-charge gift wrapping, where customers can choose to add a handwritten message.
