The Field Farm shop is a jewel in Lincolnshire's crown. Selling authentic Lincolnshire produce, the farm this shop resides on has been in current farmers Sue and Richard's family for 3 generations.
They rear a large range of animals on their farm, including turkeys for Christmas, the oldest British pig breed berkshires, breeding ewes, herdwick sheep, and black rock chickens.
From these breeds, they have been able to supply their farm shop exclusively with their own meat products. With 0 food miles, this meat is the freshest available. Their selection ranges from all-year-round available lamb, pork, chicken, mixed-sized eggs, pullet eggs, sausages, and more.
They also specialise in a range of crops, providing seasonal vegetables to the shop, such as potatoes created from organic Orla seeds. And every precaution possible is taken to ensure the best produce is harvested. Farmer Richard plants the vegetables by hand and under fleeces so they grow to perfection. All other vegetables are sourced from an organic company.
Conservation is very important to Field Farm. Therefore, they endeavour to enhance the landscape through hedgerow management, creating insect habitats, not using sprays, creating wildflower patches with pollen flowers, and having solely grassland, which is maintained by sheep. So a purchase at The Field Farm is a great contributor towards a more sustainable food shop.
They also stock a range of other local produce including Piper's Crisps.
