Address: Grimblethorpe Hall Artisan Butchers, Grimblethorpe, Hall, Louth, LN11 0RB
Grimblethorpe Hall was constructed around the early 17th century as a home to those with high social status and later grew into an estate with the addition of 700 farming acres along with a chalk stream.
Today the land is an Organic Certified farm that uses traditional farming methods and provides the produce for their on-site butchery. For the sound of mind, all meat is traceable, and all heritage breeds sold at the butchery are reared on the Grimblethorpe farm. With the selection of Lincoln Longwool Mutton, Lincoln red beef, and more, there's a taste of our county in every bite of this produce.
To pick up any of these quality goods, customers can pop down to the farm and purchase directly from the butchery counter on-site. Alternatively, they have a regular market stall at Louth's Cornmarket. Stuart, the head butcher, has won awards for his original traditional sausage recipes and is more than happy to advise with his four decades of experience at artisan butcheries.
Sustainability is important to the farm, and the estate is managed to be as eco-friendly as possible. And so, wildlife is allowed to thrive among the estate. This includes the wildflower/plant banks of the river Bain that flows through, which are left to grow out to provide shelter for animals, such as water voles, and otters.
